Bringing Business Expertise to Entrepreneurs in Brooklyn
For four years, I served entrepreneurs in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn as a Business Advisor at the NY Small Business Development Center (NY SBDC). In this role, I provided free, high-quality advice to business owners helping them start, grow, and sustain successful small businesses. It was tough, varied work, and I’m incredibly proud of it. More than $321,000 of financial investment in local businesses can be attributed to my advising work, and I logged more than 2,045 hours of one-on-one meetings with more than 600 business owners launching more than 20 new businesses and saving countless others.
A few of my favorite success stories can be found here, here, and here.
While I’m no longer advising business owners full-time, I continue to have immense respect and appreciation for the NY SBDC does, and I continue working with them on a quarterly basis to teach website building workshops at both the New York and Brooklyn Public Libraries.
